TURBINOPLASTY

The turbinates are often grossly enlarged in allergic rhinitis. Symmetric Volumetric Reduction of the turbinate size to reduce the sensitivity while maintaining the aerodynamic shape of the turbinates is performed with a coblator, which is the most advanced technique in the world. This allows the mucosa to remain unaffected, which is very important for the long-term health of the nose.
  • Excessive, bright red bleeding
  • A lot of clear watery drainage form the nose, or profuse salty tasting drainage down the throat
  • Double or blurred vision
  • Decreased ability to move or close eyes, or eye pain
  • Fever over 101 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Stiffness or pain in the neck or decreased alertness
